Situated in the centre of Beadnell village (well known by water sport enthusiasts) and ideally placed for walking to the beach, harbour, village store and the village pubs, this newly built double fronted stone cottage has character and is extremely well equipped.
It is owned by our Australian friends, Sue and Ian with their young daughter Julia (you'll be able to spot the odd Antipodean influence in the collection of books and the occasional print). The Mariner's is located in the grounds of a country house which has recently been converted into luxury apartments and sits alongside a handful of other cottages looking out towards a large lawn area and the historical St Ebba's Church beyond. For a small village, Beadnell has several facilities including the newly refurbished Craster Arms hotel with its garden and restaurant, the Beadnell Towers Hotel, again with tables and chairs for outside eating, the village store, On the Beach - for fish and chips and its own small sailing club. The beach is superb and well used by families, walkers, divers, kite surfers, bird watchers and those with boats, jet skis and sea kayaks.
The Mariner's has been awarded a 5 star grade by VisitBritain/English Tourism Council for 2009. It is luxuriously equipped, exceptionally comfortable and has a light, contemporary feel. Ideal for families and couples alike, who want to be within walking distance of the sea and local facilities.
