The Little House is not really so little! It is so named because it enables a party of 2 people and babies to have use of the superb living accommodation which forms part of our larger property, The House, at low season times of the year (beginning of November to mid March except school holidays) � we simply close off the extra bedrooms. A couple will enjoy the expansive master suite formed within the eaves of this converted hayloft. Downstairs offers an extremely spacious living/dining room with vaulted ceiling, full height windows for maximum light and a delightful oak finish breakfasting kitchen. All the rooms have a mixture of contemporary leather and oak furniture and carefully chosen soft furnishings. Outside a large decked area with dining furniture can be used � even off season, barbeques have been known to be used! All in all, a great space for a couple!

Vindolanda Fort (Hadrian's Wall) Website Bardon Mill Visitors may inspect the remains of the Roman fort and settlement, see its extraordinary finds in the superb museum. Look at daily life and full-scale replicas of Roman buildings. Visitors are welcome to watch the excavation in progress and talk to the archaeologists from April to August, 7 days a week. Special discount rates are available for visitors who also wish to visit our sister site at the Roman Army Museum situated next to the outstanding Walltown Crags section of Hadrian's Wall.
