The Little House
More details
The Little House is not really so little! It is so named because it enables a party of 2 people and babies to have use of the superb living accommodation which forms part of our larger property, The House, at low season times of the year (beginning of November to mid March except school holidays) we simply close off the extra bedrooms. A couple will enjoy the expansive master suite formed within the eaves of this converted hayloft. Downstairs offers an extremely spacious living/dining room with vaulted ceiling, full height windows for maximum light and a delightful oak finish breakfasting kitchen. All the rooms have a mixture of contemporary leather and oak furniture and carefully chosen soft furnishings. Outside a large decked area with dining furniture can be used even off season, barbeques have been known to be used! All in all, a great space for a couple!

Chesters Roman Fort (Hadrian's Wall)
Website
Chollerford
Visit Chesters Roman Fort and discover the best visible remains of a cavalry fort in Britain. The fort was built to guard the Roman bridge which carried Hadrian's Wall over the River North Tyne in Northumberland. Bring your family to the fort and explore the entire foundations of the headquarters building, including the courtyard, hall, regimental temple and the largest, most luxurious building, the commandant's house. Down by the river, you can see the extremely well-preserved steam rooms and bathing areas of the garrison's bath house, while in the refurbished museum there's a fine collection of Roman finds.
