The Camp site nestles close to the North Tyne River in a relaxed and peaceful location with scenic views of the countryside. Facilities on offer will include a shower and toilet block catering for the disabled with hot and cold running water (Opening Spring 2006). Nearby is The Riverside Tearooms where breakfasts, light refreshments and pack lunches are available on request, there is also a small shop selling confectionary and some camping essentials. A 10 Minute walk brings you to Crown Inn where a recommended evening meal can be served or even just light refreshment can be enjoyed. Chesters Roman Fort and Museum are nearby and well worth a visit. The surrounding countryside has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Pets are allowed if kept on a lead at all times. Overall the site provides a peaceful location where you can relax and take in the surrounding countryside. The price for the camp site is 5.00 per person per night. Please not that we only acceptwalkers on the camp site

Surrounding the whole historic town, their entire circuit can be walked.
