The Highland Cattle Centre is located at Dere Street Farm that is situated on the slope of fields above the Lynn Burn in Stocksfield where the stunning views are set off by the addition of our Fold of Highland Cattle. We also keep pigs, including Gloucester Old Spots that enjoy being talked to, and some rare breed hens that lay tasty eggs.
Marianne Halford and her son Ed have kept Highlanders at the farm since 1997, during which time they have learnt to appreciate the unique character of this hardy native breed of cattle.
